Sea Level headed

My recent work is heavily based on travel and place. As I traveled from the acquainted, flat, wet, blue seaside lands of Florida to the new, dry, mountainous, warm toned desert of Arizona – I began to attach certain memory with environmental factors. Unfamiliar land is a place I often desire to go to begin to let go of things that no longer serve me in exchange for balance.

Sea Level Headed is an ongoing series of prints that is my attempt to wrap my head around the inevitable changes that are happening around us. These changes are directly impacting our oceans and potentially my childhood home. As the sea levels are rising - so are my concerns.
